INTRODUCTION
Match cards together to make pairs. This game is easy to play and involves bluffing.

HOW TO PLAY DONKEY

THE DEAL

All cards are dealt evenly. Players look at their cards and put pairs together, e.q. 7♥️, 7♦️. Pairs can be different colors e.g. 5♥️, 5♠️ except for the Q♠️ which has no other card to match with.

THE PLAY

All players place their pairs face down to one side. These cards are no longer in the game.

HOW TO WIN
Players who have no cards left are out of the game. The last player left with only the Queen of Spades is called the donkey and has to make the noise of a donkey.

TAKE A CARD

When players do not have pairs left to match, player one takes one card from the player to their left. The plaver to the left holds the cards in front of them so player one cannot see them, see example to the right.

MATCHING CARDS

If player one creates a pair using this new card e.g. 9 9 they put the pair to the side. It does not matter if they match, it is then the next person’s turn. They take a card from player one.

NO CARDS LEFT

When a player has no more cards left, they are out of the game and cannot be the donkey. They wait for the game to finish.

DON'T SKIP A PLAYER

When one player is out, play continues with the next player picking from the player to their left.

THE DONKEY

The player who is last will be the one with the Q♠️. When this is the only card left, the player that has this card must make the sound of a donkey!

TIPS

It does not matter if some players have an extra card at the start of the game.

STRATEGY

If a player has the Q♠️ they should not let other players know they have it. Place it in a position where another player is more likely to take it.

EXTRAS

The donkey has to shuffle and deal the next round.
