INTRODUCTION
A simple game for all ages that combines luck and skill. Punishment for being the donkey and benefits for being the President results in different dynamics every round.

HOW TO PLAY PRESIDENT

THE DEAL

Deal all the cards evenly. It does not matter if a player has one extra card. Players sort their cards from low to high.

THE PLAY

The player with the 3 ♣️ goes first. They must play the 3♣️ but can decide to play one, two, three or four cards of the same number e.g. two (3s  3♣️  3♠️). The donkey goes first in future rounds and can start with any card(s).

HOW TO WIN

The winner is called the President, they are the player to play all of their cards first. The loser is the donkey and gives up their best cards.

HAND RANKING

SAME NUMBER OF CARDS

The next player must play the same number of cards of an equal or higher value e.g. two 4’s Play continues in this format, each player taking a turn to play the same number of cards that are equal or higher value e.g. two 10’s.

CALLING PASS

Each player takes a turn until they cannot, or do not want, to play. They call “pass” and are out of the round. Play continues until only one player remains. The winner of the round burns the pile, and starts a new round with any card(s).

FOUR OF A KIND

If either four of the same number e.g. four 10’s or one or more 2’s are played then the round stops. The last player to play a card starts a new round.

The number of 2’s must be the same as the cards played in the round.

THE PRESIDENT

Whoever plays all their cards first is the President. The player that comes last is the donkey. The donkey deals the next round. They must give the President their best card(s), face down, before the round starts. The president can give any card to the donkey.
